Abstract In a finite layered system, the substrate influences the spectra of the collective excitations. We solve the dispersion relations for magnetostatic modes in a finite Cd0.30Mn0.70Te-Cd0.89Mn0.11Te multilayer structure as a prototype antiferromagnetic and paramagnetic su-perlattice grown on the top of a nonmagnetic or a paramagnetic substrate. In perpendicular magnetization geometry where the saturation magnetization lies along the growth axis of the layered structure, surface modes appear in the spectra when the substrate is paramagnetic but disappear when the substrate is nonmagnetic. At the same time, the bands of bulk modes in the spectra are independent of change of substrates.

Altmetric calculates a score based on the online attention an article receives. Each coloured thread in the circle represents a different type of online attention. The number in the centre is the Altmetric score. Social media and mainstream news media are the main sources that calculate the score. Reference managers such as Mendeley are also tracked but do not contribute to the score. Older articles often score higher because they have had more time to get noticed. To account for this, Altmetric has included the context data for other articles of a similar age.
