Abstract The BBK approach is modified by the introduction of effective Sommerf eld parameters for both symmetric and asymmetric geometries, according to the fact that the strength of any particular two body Coulomb interaction is affected by the presence of the third particle. The triple differential cross sections for electron impact ionization of atomic helium at incident energies of 40 and 50 eV in asymmetric geometry are calculated. Results of this approach are found to be in good agreement with the absolute measurements and the only existing theoretical results of the convergent close-coupling method.

Online attention
Altmetric calculates a score based on the online attention an article receives. Each coloured thread in the circle represents a different type of online attention. The number in the centre is the Altmetric score. Social media and mainstream news media are the main sources that calculate the score. Reference managers such as Mendeley are also tracked but do not contribute to the score. Older articles often score higher because they have had more time to get noticed. To account for this, Altmetric has included the context data for other articles of a similar age.
