Abstract This paper calculates the spectra and oscillator strengths for highly ionized cobalt-like Sn23+ ions 3p63d9--3p53d10, 3p63d9--3p63d84p transitions by using a multi-configuration self-consistent field method program together with the proposed fitting formula. The calculations have a good agreement with observations.
