Abstract The method and results are given for the tensor patterns and polarization ratios of three-photon absorption excited by single-laser for randomly oriented molecules. The ratio of oriented average of transition rate for circularly polarized light to that for linearly polarized light, $\Omega$, can be obtained by the simple three-photon transition tensor. For transition of which the tensor has one independent element, we give the value of polarization ratio; for transition of which the tensor contains two independent elements, we also give the possible range of polarization ratio. These results may be helpful for the symmetry assignment of the excited states.

Altmetric calculates a score based on the online attention an article receives. Each coloured thread in the circle represents a different type of online attention. The number in the centre is the Altmetric score. Social media and mainstream news media are the main sources that calculate the score. Reference managers such as Mendeley are also tracked but do not contribute to the score. Older articles often score higher because they have had more time to get noticed. To account for this, Altmetric has included the context data for other articles of a similar age.
