Abstract  In view of interacting boson fermion formalism, a microscopic sdIBM-2 +2q.p. model is used to describe the ground-state band, $\beta$-band, $\gamma$-band and two-quasi-particle band for 114-130Xe isotopes. The theoretical investigations indicate that the backbending is caused by crossing of the two-quasi-proton band and the ground-state band. This result seems to provide a possible way for understanding the backbending phenomenon of 114-130Xe isotopes.
