  • Test Weak Cosmic Censorship Conjecture on Peldan Black Hole Surrounded by Quintessence

    • We investigate the weak cosmic censorship conjecture (WCCC) for (2+1)-dimensional static Peldan electrostatic black holes surrounded by quintessence. Previous studies have shown that a naked singularity can form in the vacuum Peldan spacetime, potentially violating causality. To examine whether the surrounding quintessence fluid can protect the horizon, we perform a gedanken experiment in which a charged test particle is absorbed by the black hole. We find that although a particle with energy in the formal overcharge window could, in principle, destroy the event horizon, an exterior repulsive potential barrier prevents such particles from ever reaching the horizon. The weak cosmic censorship conjecture therefore remains valid once quintessence is taken into account, consistent with our previous results for the Reissner–Nordström–quintessence case. This suggests that quintessence dark energy may play a protective role in black hole stability, within the physically motivated parameter ranges examined in this work.
