  • Extra-cavity manipulating a bright-gray vector soliton

    • Both intra-cavity and extra-cavity manipulation of optical solitons are efficient methods for investigating the dynamic properties of solitons in nonlinear optical systems. In this article, we mainly simulate the extra-cavity manipulation of a bright-gray vector soliton at a wavelength of 1064 nm, considering that the bright soliton component and gray soliton component have the same or slightly different central wavelengths. Five kinds of soliton parameters (including central wavelengths) are varied based on our proposed extra-cavity manipulation physical system. Both single-parameter variation and dual-parameter variation methods are adopted in the simulation. The manipulated bright-gray vector soliton's pulse shapes and optical spectra in orthogonal polarizations will exhibit unique characteristics when different parameters are varied. For instance, slightly different central wavelengths can induce obvious temporal oscillations of orthogonally polarized pulse shapes at the output terminal. Our simulations effectively explore the manipulation of different types of optical solitons in extra-cavity manipulation systems, providing useful reference for studying the nonlinear dynamics of various types of optical solitons in extra-cavity manipulation systems.
