Pressure-tuned structure and superconductivity in 2H-NbSe2
-
Abstract
The structural and superconducting properties of 2H-NbSe2 were systematically investigated under pressure up to 55.4 GPa using high-pressure electrical transport measurements, synchrotron radiation x-ray diffraction, and theoretical calculations. With increasing pressure, the enhanced interlayer coupling of 2H-NbSe2 induces a structural transition from quasi-two dimensional to three dimensional. Meanwhile, accompanied by Fermi surface reconstruction, 2H-NbSe2 exhibits a characteristic dome-shaped superconducting behavior, which provides valuable insights into the relationship between its superconducting properties and the structural transition. -
