A plot of the uncertainty of the thermal limit (circle), the correlation method (diamond), and the optimal method (square) as a function of sample time in processing the filtered data. The optimal estimator changes smoothly as the sample time is decreasing. The gap between the optimal estimator and thermal limit is almost the same for different sample time.
