Van der Waals interlayer potential of graphitic structures: From Lennard–Jones to Kolmogorov–Crespy and Lebedeva models |
Data points show change in potential energy of a plane that is moved from AB position over another large plane by a distance of a=1.42 Å, which results in AA position, under several values of pressure [GPa] as listed in the legend. The classical 12–6 Lennard–Jones potential was used in modeling, with σ=3.4322 Å and ϵ=2.4 meV. Solid lines show a tentative fit of the parabolic dependencies. |
