Schematic diagram of the experimental setup. The pulse shaper is placed between oscillator and amplifier. The shaped pulse is focused into the VMI setup. A half-wave plate and a Glan–Talor prism are used to change the laser intensity. A removeable gold mirror is used to reflect the laser pulse into the laser intensity meter for energy measurement.
