(color online) A sketch of the experimental setup. The random speckles are two identical pseudo-thermal light beams. The upper is the object beam and the lower is the reference beam. DB is the bucket detector, and the pixel detector Dr registers the reference beam. The fractional moments are performed by the correlator. The subplot shows the PDFs in Eq. (16) for m = 1, 2, and 5, where m is the number of the nonzero units in the object.
