(color online) A case of the evolution of node AS7713. (a) AS7713 emerges into the Internet in August 1998 and starts to build connections with its neighbors. The visualization shows a snapshot of the local network topology of AS7713 and its neighbors (August 2013). The colour and size of the nodes vary by node’s degree, the bigger the node is, the lighter the colour is, and the higher degree it has, (b) the degree of AS7713 evolves since a newborn node to an important hub of the Internet.
