Four possible configurations of the 120° Néel structure (1, 2, 3, and 4). Panels (a) and (b) are two groups of constant current images taken with magnetic tips. The size of the images is about 2 nm × 2.5 nm. By assuming the magnetic orientation of the tip, projections of the four spin configurations on the tip magnetization direction results in different magnetic images.
