Comparison of impacts of spheres onto water at V₀ = 1.2 m/s: (a) T_s = 30 °C, at time t = 5, 13.2, 30.2, 47.2, 64.4, 81.6 ms from impact; (b) T_s = 200 °C, at time t = 5, 19, 33, 51, 60.8, 81.6 ms from impact. In both cases, the water temperature is T_w = 30 °C.
