(color online) The EB scheme for the eight-state CVQKD protocol with LOCM operation. λ and τ are two critical parameters of LOCM. Alice randomly prepares one of the eight-state discrete-modulated states and sends it to Bob through the unsecure quantum channel controlled by an eavesdropper, Eve. Additionally, an LOCM is placed in the input of Bob’s apparatus. Bob detects the received mode to derive a sequence of bits shared with Alice by using the heterodyne detector.
