(color online) Crystal structure of CuBr₂. a, b, and c are axis of the monoclinic structure of the crystal. CuBr₂ ribbons are directed along the crystalline b-direction to form the quasi-1D structure. Br⁻ ions in three adjacent ribbons forms elongated octahedron, proximately along the a direction.
