(color online) Magnetic moment m as a function of E_f at different filling and V=1.0. Hollow (solid) diamonds are the contributions of the f orbital (c orbital) to the magnetic moment. Red, blue, purple, and black lines are the results at filling n=1.917, n=1.95, n=1.98, and n=2.0, respectively. Both m_f and m_i have a finite step at the Lifshitz transition point, and the magnitudes of the steps of m_f at different fillings are shown in the inset. As the filling approaches half filling, the step vanishes.
