A schematic diagram of an asymmetric zincblende Al_yGa_{1 − y}As/Al_x1Ga_{1 − x1}As/Al_yGa_{1 − y}As/Al_x2Ga_{1 − x2}As/Al_yGa_{1 − y}As DQW. The potential height of every layer is relative to Al component. The parabolic shapes and heights of L_w1 and L_w2 are obtained by changing x₁ and x₂.
