The proposed structure of middle-based LOIA–CVQKD protocol where the EPR source and the LO signal are placed in the middle between Alice and Bob. Eve’s attack consists of two LOIAs on either side of the entangled source. Alice and Bob can implement either homodyne or heterodyne detection with direct or reverse reconciliation.
