(color online) Relationship between the external potential field and the diffusion coefficient under the temperatures of 300 K, 500 K, and 700 K. From the diagram, the potential wells and barriers coincide when the potential is 0. The potential well is good for particle motion and diffusion coefficient, while the potential barrier hinders particle transport and decreases the diffusion coefficient.
