Two deferent deformation mechanisms of the Fe nanowires at different strain rate (abc and ade are structural evolution diagrams for the strain rates 1 × 109 s−1 and 1 × 1011 s−1, respectively) at 100 K. Atoms colored red, green, and gray represent those atoms in hcp, fcc, and surface lattice (or in dislocation core and disordered region), respectively, while the bcc atoms are removed for clarity.
