Effect of fluorine groups and different terminal chains on the electro-isomerization of azobenzene liquid crystals |
The testing setup in the experiment. The sample was placed on a host stage. The backlight of the microscope was used as the white-light source. The electric field was applied through the signal generator. The UV light was applied through the UV LED. The backlight was split into two beams after transmitted through the sample, one was received by a spectrometer to record the absorption variations, and the other was detected by a CCD camera to monitor the texture changes. |
