Spectral broadening induced by intense ultra-short pulse in 4H–SiC crystals

FWHM of the broadening spectrum versus 4H–SiC crystal length along the laser beam propagation direction for a horizontal polarization laser beam with a peak power density of 60.1 GW/cm². The dots (solid symbol) indicate the experimental data and are well fitted by a linear dependence. The hollow circle shows the FWHM (188 cm⁻¹) of output laser without SiC crystals. The inset illustrates a typical broadening spectrum for the 19-mm-long SiC crystal.
