Channeling of fast ions through the bent carbon nanotubes: The extended two-fluid hydrodynamic model

Angular distributions of protons channeled in bent nanotubes when the nanotube curvature angle is α = 4 mrad in the case of a (11, 9) SWNT. The proton velocity is v = 3 a.u. and nanotube length L = 0.5 μm. The distributions are calculated using the extended two-fluid model without (a) and with (b) taking into account the image potential.
