Electromagnetically induced transparency in a Zeeman-sublevels Λ-system of cold 87Rb atoms in free space

The probe transmission signal in the MOT used for fine alignment of probe light. The coupling light is blocked and the laser is scanned across the transition 52S1/2, F = 2 → 52P3/2, F′ = 1, 2, 3 using PZT. The three absorption peaks correspond to the transition |F = 2〉 → |F′ = 1〉, |F = 2〉 → |F′ = 2〉, and |F = 2〉 → |F′ = 3〉. The absorption of the transition |F = 2〉 → |F′ = 2〉 used for EIT experiment is about 60%.
