The partial density of states (PDOS) of bimetallic Au–Co nanowires deposited on the Cu(110) surface: (a) s + d z 2– r 2 and d xz states for Co, Au atoms of the nanowire and nearest Cu atoms of the surface copper layer effective interacting with the Au–Co nanowire, (b) d xy + d x 2– y 2 and d yz states of Au and Co atoms of the nanowire. The Fermi level lies at E = 0. |
