FDTD simulation results for electric field distribution: (a) cross sectional view and (b) plan view for two adjacent holes at the response wavelength of absorption peak around 420 nm. The hole diameter is 50 nm for 400-nm lattice pitch with a depth of 70 nm. The color code is for the electric field intensity from low (dark blue) to high (deep red).
