The σ in dependence on D for different coupling strengths ɛ at 〈 k 〉 = 8 and τ = 24. As ɛ increases, the σ peaks grow and become highest at around intermediate ɛ = 0.1, and then become low again. This indicates that there is an optimal coupling strength with which the synchronization transitions by channel noise become strongest.
