Driven self-assembly of hard nanoplates on soft elastic shells*

Schematic illustrations indicating that the driven self-assembly behaviors of the hard nanoplates consist of two stages: (a) the nanoplates are adsorbed onto the shell randomly and then accumulate towards the center of the flat region driven by surface tension of the elastic shell; (b) the nanoplates rearrange on the basis of the maximization of local packing fraction.
