Role of elastic scattering in high-order above threshold ionization

Logarithmic 2D photoelectron momentum distributions of the QRS model including the focal volume averaging for single ionization of rare gas atoms in a 40-fs pulse with a wavelength of 630 nm at the peak intensities of (a) 1.6×1014 W/cm2 for Ne, (b) 1.6×1014 W/cm2 for Ar, (c) 1.1×1014 W/cm2 for Kr, and (d) 1.7×1014 W/cm2 for Xe. The QRS results are shown for energies above 3 U p.
