A typical discharging profile evolution of the MTF pre-ionize stage, here bias magnetic field B = 0.2 T, Ar gas pressure = 20 mTorr (1 Torr = 1.33322×102 Pa) and the driving field E T = E 0 × r / R 0 by R 0 = 2.5 cm and E 0 = 50 kV/m. After breakdown in the initial stage, the plasma ring runs closer to the axis.
