Experimental setup for computational GI. A halogen lamp illuminates the DMD through an aperture diaphragm and a beam expander. The reflected random patterns are imaged onto an object which is a black-and-white film printed with “A” and then collected by a bucket (single-pixel) detector. I R: binary random patterns encoded on the DMD. I B: total intensity recorded by the bucket (single-pixel) detector.
