The 1D ground-state energy T 1D versus transverse confinement depth of the lattice. For the confinement potential U 0 > 0 (or the effective interaction γ ≫ 1), the energy T 1D well presents the ground-state energy of the Lieb–Liniger gas in strong coupling regime within the local density approximation.[16b]
